Hello all, I've been away for a while now, too much P.A.D. and T.A.D... it was getting bad pretty bad. Anyways, my wife brought me home some Old Ironsides, and I'm really enjoying it. Enjoying it so much, as a matter of fact, that I'm looking into yet another pipe to dedicate to Latakia blends. That being said, I'd like to know what shapes work well with Latakia. Chime in and let me know what you use and what works well. Thanks. |

I always smoke Latakia blends in really wide bowls, such as a Peterson XL02 or XL 23. Why cramp the big flavor of a good Latakia in a narrow bowl? |

I use a Peterson standard system 303 for my Latakia blends, I don't know if this is better or worse than any other shape or brand, but it does a good job for me. |

I find a pot shape works well such as a Peterson 301 altho I am smoking a Pete 309 at present (tall, skinny bowl). My blend is about 60% latakia. It seems to smoke well in my Celius' which are tall (2 to 2 1/2") bowls. |

I find that most of my Latakia pipes are apples and princes. |

I am love my Latakia blends and smoke them in a hand made pipe, made by Wolfgang a member here on this board. Here is the link to a similar pipe that that I use for my latakia from Wolf. http://www.puffapipe.com/pipe644.html |
