Does anyone have any information about the French Butz-Choquin tobaccos ? For Christmas I received a 100g tin of "B.C. Collector Limited". It was so good I went and bought another one for the cellar. Apparently Butz-Choquin release one at the middle of December every year (bit like Christmas Cheer). It's always in a special tin (elephants this year - see photo). The tobacco is superb. Usually I hate aromatics but this one (1) is flavoured with aniseed which is really pleasent (2) has enough nicotine for me (3) zero bite/heat. I have no idea what's in it - it is pretty much black in appearance but there are bits of leaf in there which seem to have been dusted with some sort of silvery metallic substance ! The label says "Produced in Germany. For sale in France." While in the shop I bought the only other tinned B.C. tobacco they had "Port au Prince". Apparently it's another aromatic but I haven't opened it yet and again I have no idea what's in it. I have tried the net and local contacts here in France but there's no information available on B.C. tobaccos at all. Can anyone provide further info e.g. what tobaccos they produce and their characteristics ? Maybe one of our French colleagues ? Thnx in advance. |
