i got some in a tin the other day, and i've tried it three times; the first two were straight out of the tin and the third was from a pouch i put some of the tin in to let dry a little bit. the reason i did this is that the tobacco seems to be almost wet in the tin. my tobacconist told me that this was like a 'better full virginia flake', but so far, i'm not getting that; i'm getting some good flavor but also a lot of steam. i left a pouch open overnight in my car, so i'll smoke it today and see how it fares. what are y'all's thoughts on this stuff? it's awfully expensive, but is it worth it? |

Dan: Hal o' the Wynd is a fine full Virginia blend. I recommend smoking this one *very* slowly. I mean slower than you've ever tried smoking before. In my experience, that's what's required to really get the most flavor -- and the remarkable sweetness -- that this classic blend can deliver. (And if you're at all bothered by higher nicotine content, slower smoking will help as well, as this really is a "full" Virginia in that regard.) Bob |

I found the same thing true Dan and tried several pipes. However one day it was all that I had in my car and wanted to smoke, so I packed it up in a very small ashton billiard and finally I got it, very sweet and full just what I was looking for I find myself in and out of the groove if you will. |

I also like these blend, Nutty and near the end a creamy sensation. |
