For years I have smoked Burlington Arcade Original pipe tobacco. I ordered this through Holt's in Phildelphia. Holts informed me that the maker of this tobacco has sold its business. Does anyone know who purchased this business or where one may still find some of this tobacco? Thanks

A quick net search and I found something in the archives of this site.

Looks like Holts might be your best source of info.

Address for Holt's is 114 S. 16th street Philadelphia, PA 19102
800-523-1641. I agree the store is not what it used to be for pipes
or anyone interested in talking about pipes or tobacco. They do have
several good blends...Burlington Arcade is an old blend Holt's took
over, a flake cut easy to pack with nice flavor and aroma.Their blend
101 is mild but very aromatic..."

Reading that it might be a store blend?

I was a former customer of the Harry Tint Co, the original blender of Burlington Arcade. Holt bought the formulae from Tint's which had been closed perhaps 30+ years ago. As late as February 2009, Holt's still had some in stock. from what I have seen, Burlington Arcade seems not to have a large following. It is a heavier denser mix than many smokers prefer today.
