I smoked a pipe for many years, but not in the last 20. I would like to start BUT I want a mild sweet smoke. I really am looking for something easy to smoke. Like most I went through dozens of blends when I smoked before, but can't remember anything about them except some of them were way too strong and bit the tongue.

Thanks
tounge.

Thanks

Lane's BCA and Stokkebye's Black Vanilla are both nice bulk vanilla black cavendishes that are pretty widely available. Your tobacconist will probably give the BCA a different name, but if you ask him for it he'll point you in the right direction. These would be my top recommendations for a "mild sweet smoke."

This is a highly subjective area, but FWIW, I resumed smoking a pipe after many years only a few months ago. I went looking for an old favorite, Dunhill's Early Morning Pipe, which for all intents and purposes no longer exists, so I got a "copy" from pipesandcigars.com. I have found it delicious, reasonably sweet without any of the harshness of more aromatic mixtures, cool smoking and with a pleasant room note so people around me compliment me on it instead of throwing stuff at me. I'm working through my second pound of it and haven't grown tired at all.

Happy smoking!

Arthur,
Try McBarens "Original Choice". Some find it bland but I consider it fairly decent. It's also forgiving as to how it is smoked. Another plus is it's readily available.

if you want something easy to smoke, get yourself
a couple of cobs and some CH. This will give
you the mild, sweet smoke you desire. if it tastes
too sweet, cut the CH with some PA.

If you are looking for something pleasant and easy to smoke, I recommend Carter Hall, Sir Walter Raleigh, or Prince Albert.

I would recommend that you try the Boswell's

Dutch Treat,
Spice and Nice
Berry Cobbler

Mild, natural and very pleasant.
