I am only an occasional smoker and my smoking is not appreciated at home(yet?). I generally keep my pipes and tobacco in my office. I have noticed that some of the tinned tobacco I have opened has gone dry (Dunhill 965, Durbar, etc) and doesn't taste very good. I have also noticed a couple of other tins remain moist (Escudo, 1792 Flake). I am assuming this has to do with the preparation. Both the 1792 and Escudo are slices of a pressed form and I'm guessing they are retaining their moisture longer because of this. Is there any other form that retains its moisture longer? maybe a plug or a twist? |
