hi all - my favourite blend Dorisco Mixture by James Fox is no longer being made so I am looking for a replacement. Any ideas for a similar blend with perique in it? Since I live in the Republic of Ireland realistically I am looking at tobaccos available in the UK. Your help is much appreciated. | ||

Give Dunhill's Navy Rolls Deluxe a try for a premium Vaper and it should be available in the UK. Then there is the new and upcoming Mac Baren HH Acadian Perique which might fit the bill (or not for that matter, it is so new that not many regular pipesmokers have tried it yet) Solani 633 is a Virginia flake with Perique and then there are myriad other that you could order online. | ||

Nope, Rob must live on the continent. BAT discontinued all the Dunhill branded pipe tobacco blends in the UK in fall 2007. Now you may find old stock in a store but it's unlikely. Orlik Bulls Eye is the suggested alternative to DNR here: http://www.smoke.co.uk/acatalog/Dunhill_Tobaccos.html And the new Mac Baren is a new introduction and its availability is not clear yet. But if you have access to Kendal Lake District tobaccos then Gawith Hoggarth Louisiana flake or Sam Gawith St. James Flake may also be to your taste. |
