I'm looking for a pipe tobacco with a heavy dose of Izmir, but no Latakia. Any recommendations?

Thanks in advance

James

Guilford Courthouse from C&D is an excellent blend ,but you should age it at least one year before you smoke it .

Thanks for the recommendation; Patience has never been my strong suit, but I'll put it on my list for the next time order from C&D

I believe it is Red Carpet from C&D that has red va and izmir. Also one of the Low Country Tobaccos from smokingpipes.com has izmir in it.

Not Izmir-based, but I believe G.L. Pease's Embarcadero has a measure of Izmir and no Latakia. Hope this helps.

Thanks for all the input. I went to Smoking Pipes looking for the McClelland 2025; I didn't find it, but I did find McClelland's Grand Orientals - Smyrna No.1 which is, according to the label at least, pure Izmir and gives me exactly what I was looking for. I also bought a can of their Classic Samsun, but haven't tried it yet.

Not necessarily an Izmir type, but I found Peretti's Oriental #40 to be exceptional.
