There’s more than one way to skin a cat and although the general consensus says to open one at a time I shirk this. I have the following sitting on my desk opened and ready to use: 1. Peterson’s Irish Flake 2. Squadron Leader 3. Kendal’s Top Black Cherry 4. Cornel & Diehl Irish Blessing 5. Peterson’s Sweet Killarney And of course a humidor that carries a house blend from St. Paul, MN that I smoke daily. I think one of your concerns is keeping the tobacco fresh hence asking about the humidor. The answer can depend but for me a tinned tobacco never goes into a humidor. With your daily usage you could easily have three tins open or more especially if they are the round tins that seal better than the rectangle ones. Just a foot note- if you are partial to a tinned tobacco you can ask on here or do a search if that mixture is available in bulk and then you can store it in a humidor. The reason people do this is cost effectiveness but you first have to find what you like! All the best… |

Hi I have 10 to 15 things open. When I open a tin I put it in a mason jar if im not going to smoke it right away. Dont put it in a humidor. |

You're very welcome. Freezer bags work well. When I use them I give myself ample room to roll the bag upon itself a few times to make certain the air is out and then seal it well. If you're taking a truck on a world trip something that would make a real dandy 'cellar' would be an ammo can. you know the type I mean? It has the hinged flange for a tight fit. |

I have 4 of the ammo cans they came with cigars now hold open tins. They work great have a good seal easy to move around. They were for 50 cal ammo. Good idea for a long trip. Enjoy your trip Steve |
