Bless me, pipesters, I have sinned -- have been experimenting with (gasp!) cigars. But I've just stumbled upon a nice pipe blend and would like a wee bit more input. I just tried Altadis' "Majestic English" -- burley, latakia, virginia, perique, and either oriental or turkish. It's my favorite blend so far, so was wondering: (1) If there's a similar one a step up in quality, richer and fuller-bodied (maybe a bit more burley and/or latakia). (2) If anyone's familiar with GLPease's Blackpoint (same ingredients minus the burley), C&D's Adagio (same *with* burley) or C&D's Evening Rise (same minus perique). The makers' descriptions of these intrigued me. Should I find a winner here, I shall humbly return to the fold and sin no more ... Thanks -- Cloudblower |

John, far be it from me to label you a 'sinner'. I indulge in a stick now and again, and steadfastedly refuse to repent Enjoy. Penzance in a Pete |

One of my all time favorite English blends is #416 Plantation Evening from C&D. It's composed of aged VAs, Latakia, Perique, and a little Turkish. This has been one of my favorite English smokes for years. |
