Hey guys, I had a question about Pipe and Tobaccos Magazine. I've been going and buying it at large book stores and tobacco shops, but upon buying the most recent issue, there was a notice stating that it would be their last newsstand issue. Does anyone know if their following issues will be available at least at tobacco shops? I am but a poor college student, so I don't really want to commit to a year subscription (even though it's only $24.99). It would be a real shame if the only way the magazines are to be had is by subscription. |

Call the B/M you patronize and ask them what they've received from SpecComm... FWIW, I just called MY local B/M, he has not received anything independent of what's in P&T. Makes sense though. "General Stores" are the place where I'd expect to see them getting the most returns. The idea is to print 1 copy per user, not overprint the run! BTW, the subscription, while a 1 time expense, is cheaper than the newsstand price. Further, a mult-year subscription drives the cost per issue down farther. Smoke in peace, John |

My best guess would be to contact the Circulation Manager at P&T: melissa@pt-magazine.com Btw: You can read a few articles online, but not the whole thing Currently Smoking: Rich's Royal English-"Toasted Cavendish laced with Mountain Latakia then blended White Burley and Golden Virginia"

While we're on the subject of P&T magazine, I'd just like to suggest to everyone that they keep all their back issues. I had quite an assortment and then one day decided to clean out all my old magazines and put them in the trash. Of course in about a month I was wishing I had them all back. Even if I didn't want to re-read some of the articles (which I did) I could have undoubtably sold them on e-bay. Live and learn. Larry's Blend in an S&R Dublin smokey
