Over the past year I have found myself gravitating towards Savinelli's line of pipes. I got a hold of a few cheap from the Champagne line and they really did the trick. On top of that they were king size [KS] and that was pleasurable too. So my net was spread out a little further for a new brand and since then I've acquired a few for my collection. Now here is my problem- I use the Savinelli web site to understand available shapes and classes e.g. champagne, Hercules but some of the pipes being offered new by sellers like cupojoes are not even on the Savinelli site e.g. milano and Venezia to name two. What I desire is a site or a book that gives a guy the dates that a line was manufactured. With Peterson's this has been done to a certain degree and the silver hallmark of course stands as an easy identifier if that is involved. So is there a source that can be gotten on dating Savinelli's and the discontinued lines? |
